A lot of us like Ashcroft solo as well as The Verve, so songs that "reek" of Ashcroft solo with the benefit of The Verve behind him is quite agreeable to us. Not that we don't love the real "Verve" sound as well, but we can like the best of both worlds.
Obviously if you're not into Richard solo then you won't like the more solo sounding songs. We all have our own taste. |

Dont get me wrong Ashcroft solo has its great moments but I think we all know its not a patch on The Verve |

Nothing/nobody is a patch on The Verve. The point is, the "solo" sounding songs on Forth DO have the benefit of the other Verve members. |
